Well hey strangers!! I really thought this was going to be one of those things where I really stuck with, but yet here we are 2 months after my trip, and I'm just now getting around to write it. I love writing about my experiences, and life, but I just never find a good time to get an extra amount of cozy to just sit and write..I need to get better at that for sure. BUT I'm sure some of you know..I caved and went back to Europe, and again..didn't give myself more then 3 weeks to plan. That seems insane and "how could someone be so stupid to buy a ticket 3 weeks before you leave for another country".. it seems hard to plan a big trip like this but it truly can be very easy with the right tools! and give you guys some secrets(:

My boyfriend, Kirk, did an internship in Ireland for two months, and we talked about me coming to see him, but I just didn't think I could do it because I just went to Dominican in April...as you can see..I give into pure pressure way to easily(:
I only had about 3 weeks to plan what we were going to do when I got there, which doesn't seem like a lot but, planning a trip is a lot more simple then you would think. I know it is such a "basic" thing to say..but PINTEREST will be your best friend..so even you GUYS..download it. Search where you want to go..and there is just countless blogs on good places to go, advice on transportation, good places to stay, and so much more.
When it comes to flying..I always look around different travel websites but the first one I always use is www.studentuniverse.com, they make it pretty easy to book through them, have cheap flights, and always give you some sort of promo code to use which is nice!
Going to London, we flew Ryanair..which if you have flown them, they are VERY cheap..but I guess you pay for what you get. The way there was great, but the way back we were delayed over 2 hours with no A.C. BUT THEY WERE CHEAP I CANT COMPLAIN! (sometimes cheap isn't ALWAYS better..but a little weekend flight to London for only 100.00 dollars, we put up with it)
A lot of people don't like London, and I guess it wasn't my FAVORITE place to be, and "beautiful" isn't the word I would use to describe it, but there were still so many breathtaking views that makes my heart happy that I chose to fly here. We only did the very touristy things and not so much little shop exploring, so that is also something that might have changed my experience.

Before I go somewhere..even if I don't follow it step by step..I write down an ENTIRE day of plans..and not just what I want to do..oh no..this is an intense planning list. I Pinterest good places to eat, when i want to just sit and relax, public parks, coffee shops, touristy things, local things. I don't need to follow it at ALL, but there has been so many times when I go downtown Omaha with a full day of plans, and then get there, and have no idea what to do. That is probably my biggest advice...make a plan, but go in with an open mind! Its better to always have something to do and changing it, then just not having a plan at all!
Here is a lil preview of when I went to Europe the first time just to give ya an idea!

When we were in London we weren't lucky enough to see any of the Royal family..but if we would have gone the FOLLOWING weekend, they were celebrating her birthday, and a few friends of Kirks went, and they got to see Queen Elizabeth II TWO times...still crying over here.
Another that I wanted to touch on was BEING VEGETARIAN while traveling. I shouldn't really say the word "vegetarian" because when I am vacationing, I do eat fish. On my day to day life though, I stay away from any animal, and try to find healthier alternatives. Even if you aren't vegetarian, I found that this was a great way for me to pick a different option on the dinner menu that wouldn't make me so BLOATED. Fish was for sure my go to, light pasta dishes, eggs, and a lot of menus even have veggie burgers. When traveling, you should also look up vegan restraunts, because they are actually very popular, and you are bound to find a good one.
This leads me to WHY I CHOSE THIS LIFESTYLE.
Last summer was a rough one for me guys. I wasn't healthy at all, and just felt horrible all of the time. I drank a lot, and not a lot of running..which if you didn't know, mkaes you gain weight pretty fast (: But I knew I wanted to make changes, and since then..I am down 20 POUNDS..I never thought I would be able to say that or be truly so proud of the progress I have made.

This picture is so "extra" (ha ha) but i am PROUD of my body and so happy that my hard work finally is starting to pay off in the way I want it to.
This was so hard for me to get here..I remember the exact day that I got on the treadmill..MOTIVATED and after 3 minutes, I got off and just started crying because I was so out of breath..I couldn't do more then 3 minutes....but progress takes time, and it was so hard for me but EVERY day I did my 3min. Sooner or later the 3 turned to 13 and now I love to see how far I can go, and even run outside! I just think that EVERYONE says it but it truly takes time, and you shouldn't focus on the end goal, but focus on bettering yourself, and being happy on the INSIDE and the rest just follows(:

If you guys want to see more pictures of my travels or COOL STUFF in my life you can follow my instagram Holly_schu. Also if anyone needs help with traveling you can always reach out..even if I haven't been there I love planning, and learning about new places to feel free to reach out (:
Thank you so much for the few of you that probably made it all the way down here (hey guys), it really does mean a lot because I have found so much peace blogging, and it means even more to see how many of you still get on every day to see if there are new post, so I am getting better at it I promise!
I hope everyone is having a great summer, I still have so much to share (:
PEACE OUT
